Airport Information

By road

The M8 Motorway via Junction 28 gives easy access to and from the airport. The airport is about 20 minutes drive from Glasgow City Centre and about two minutes from Paisley, the nearest town. You can drop off passengers outside the terminal building, but if you want to see them off, you will need to use one of the car parks.

Car parks 1, 2 and 3 are short term car parks. Rates vary from 90p for a 30 minute stay up to £5.90 for 24 hours. Car park 4 is a long stay facility, and costs £3.50 per day for a minimum 6 day stay. To pre-book a place in this car park call 0800 128 128.

By taxi

Taxies are always in plentiful supply outside of the terminal, and generally charge around £14 to take you to the heart of the city.

By rail

Paisley Gilmour Street is the nearest railway station and is located just two miles from the airport. It can be reached by taxi or by the frequent local bus service which departs from the terminal forecourt.

There are direct trains from Paisley Gilmour Street to Ayr and the Clyde coast and to Glasgow Central station. Glasgow's Central and Queen Street stations offer a wide variety of rail services to destinations throughout Scotland and England.

By bus

All buses depart from the terminal forecourt. There are frequent services to Glasgow City Centre (with drop off points near mainline railway stations) and Edinburgh.
